When Tom got married I received an invite which I accepted after some deliberation. I knew that I wasn't the most welcome of guests but also that, as the Groom's Mother, I should be at the front. I chose to sit about 3 rows back with Mum and my brother. I'd been nervously sitting there for about 5 minutes when Tom came up behind me, kissed me on the cheek and said, "you should be up here with me Mum" indicating the front row. I then, very happily, moved to the front seat with him.
